What Accountdesq actually is

Most accounting software stops at bookkeeping and invoicing, leaving inventory, purchasing, and point-of-sale to separate tools that sync uneasily with the books. Accountdesq is built the other way around: one ledger-posting engine underneath every module, so a sale at the register, a bill from a vendor, and a manually entered journal entry are all just different ways of writing to the same source of truth.

Three real, connected workflows

Not a diagram drawn for marketing - each step below is a real entity in the product, and each arrow is a real posting between modules.

Frequently asked questions

What is Accountdesq?

Accountdesq is a connected back-office platform for multi-location businesses: accounting, invoicing, receivables, purchasing, payables, banking, multi-warehouse inventory, and point-of-sale all post through one double-entry ledger, instead of running as separate systems stitched together with exports and integrations.

Who is Accountdesq for?

Multi-location retail, wholesale/distribution, and restaurant businesses that have outgrown a pure-bookkeeping tool because they need inventory, warehouses, or point-of-sale unified with accounting - not bolted on separately. Tax content is certified for India (GST) and UK (VAT) today, and configurable elsewhere.

Is Accountdesq an ERP?

Accountdesq covers accounting, inventory, purchasing, banking, and POS on one ledger, which is closer to a connected back office than a simple invoicing tool - but it does not include manufacturing/MRP or HR/payroll, so we don't market it as a full ERP.

How does Accountdesq connect accounting to inventory and POS?

Every module - invoices, vendor bills, bank matches, and stock movements - posts through the same central ledger-posting service. A point-of-sale sale, for example, draws down the same stock ledger and posts to the same accounting ledger as any other sale, so there's no end-of-day reconciliation between separate systems.

Does Accountdesq support multiple warehouses and locations?

Yes - Branch and Warehouse are distinct, first-class entities with their own zones/bins, stock transfers between locations, and permission scoping enforced by Postgres row-level security, not just the application UI.

Does Accountdesq handle GST or VAT compliance?

Yes, through a pluggable tax-pack architecture. India GST and UK VAT are certified with maintained rates. US Sales Tax and other countries use configurable, uncertified content - verify independently before relying on them for filing.
